Cloud Baby Monitor App Reviews

Great!! Some suggestions

Soon-to-be father here, and this is my first app using this sort of monitoring system, but I can tell that its going to be quite handy. Im using it right now to monitor a newly-adopted cat (scolding resident cat through the monitor while at work, when she gets too aggressive/territorial with our new addition), and so far, so good. Id love to see multi-parent access (multiple devices monitoring the same feed). Id also love to see more backdrops for the child side. Currently, there seems to be only one: blue sky with yellow moon and stars. But it would be amazing if the dev could update this app with a choice of back drops. For example, newborns can mostly see black and white. So black and white child backdrop designs, with slow movements, can aid in mental/hand-eye development, and potentially supplement or altogether replace an infant mobile. I do plan on purchasing a gooseneck iPad mount so that the unit and this app can hover right over the kiddo. Good job devs!!! I cant wait to see if you can add more features!

Best monitor app out there

I am actually using this to monitor a puppy, not a baby, but it works great for both functions. When my puppy first broke out of its enclosure, I looked around for a bunch of these apps which use mobile devices to watch him when I couldnt be home. I tried two others on a free trial basis, but they either didnt work or didnt have reliable service outside of Wi-Fi range. I downloaded this onto my iPhone and then my Mac, its been working perfectly short or long distance. The one thing that people should be aware of is that if you use a Mac as one of your monitor units, either parent or child, you will have to pay an additional 6.99, because the app licenses arent shared between mobile devices and Macs. I didnt understand that and emailed the developer, Who was helpful and communicative, but couldnt change how it worked in the iTunes Store. However, it works so well, I almost think it is worth the $11 I accidentally paid. I like the options to be able to talk to my puppy and to adjust the lighting in the rm (by the Mac screen) remotely, as well as send him lullabies and white noise. Mostly, it is the reliability of the connection, which has been good on wi-Fi, LTE, as well as 4G. I am actually buying an old used iPhone 3GS just to use as another monitor, even with all the additions, it is cheaper than most baby monitor hardware. It gives me peace of mind to be able to see what he is doing when Im at work. Thanks, Martin, for a great app!

Best baby monitor

This is the best Baby monitor ever. So quick to connect and video nice and clear. The battery last very long time .

Good, but...

I use this app to monitor my puppy, and its great for peace of mind while Im not at home. I have a baby on the way, but will not be using this app and my main reason is the video quality. If it were HD I wouldnt need another monitoring system for baby

Bait and switch - where is my alert feature!

There use to be a face time feature that allows you to be contacted if theres a certain amount of noise but now all the features are paid even though I already paid for the app

Works well

Just downloaded this today on my phone and iPad. No one was home and the baby was sleeping and I wanted to take a shower but also wanted to keep an eye/ear on him. It only took about 5 minutes to set everything up and it worked great, super convenient, especially if you already own at least two devices (iPad, iPhone, etc). I cant wait to show my husband :) Also love the music feature.

Saved me $300

My original review is below but now instead I give you 3 out of 5. You want an app review!?! Stop asking for one with your obnoxious pop-ups if you already have one. Id like to use the monitor when I need to without having to deal with rating messages. Was looking to buy a baby monitor before our child was born and after playing with this app for a bit, I realized I would have wasted a lot of money only to have it do exactly what this app can. Between my wife an I, we both have iPhones and iPads, so well put an iPad in the room with the baby and just watch her off of our iPhones. There isnt one thing I dont like about this app!

Love it

My husband and I were thinking of buying a baby monitor but being so expensive we kept putting it off.... But now I need one and I found out about this app that is so cheap and does what the expensive baby monitors do

The BEST & Cheapest baby monitor ever

So it definitely gets 5 stars!! It still gets 5 stars despite the fact it drains the battery really fast thats near the baby. Easy solution is plug it to a charger but what if youre a relatives house & they dont have an outlet? Yes extension chord but thats a hassle. Like I said, "5 stars"! Saved me from paying over $150.00

Perfect for our needs!

My husband and I had put off purchasing a monitor for our babys nursery for months as we didnt need one during the winter when we were mostly indoors and could easily hear our baby when she would wake from naps. As it got warmer with Spring, we decided we wanted to look into getting a monitor so we could be out in the yard and still able to hear/see when she woke up. We were pricing out new and used monitors and getting increasingly disappointed at the costs we would be facing, when I did a quick search for baby monitor apps for our iPhones. I found Cloud Baby Monitor and immediately purchased it! With family sharing, we were able to put it on my iPhone, my husbands iPhone, and our iPad. At home we use the iPad as the child unit and our phones as the parent unit since were connected to wifi. We even used it when out of town staying in a hotel and just used cellular data with one of our iPhones as the child unit since our iPad isnt connected to any data plans. Long story long, we LOVE this app and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking into alternatives to the traditional audio/video baby monitors that will cost you >$100!!
